Milwaukee Cordless Drill Pros And Cons
√PROS: This cordless drill review is centered around the Milwaukee 2601-22 18-Volt Li-ion Compact Drill Kit. It comes with a 1/2-inch ratcheting chuck and is encased in plastic to make it a little more lightweight. And because this drill is a 7-3/4″ compact design, it’s easier to fit into tight places than normal cordless drills. It also includes a 2-speed gear box, two Li-ion batteries, 30 minute charger, and carrying case.
There are several benefits to using the Milwaukee 18-Volt Drill. Its lightweight design makes it easy to use on almost any job and take to any job site. It has a maximum drilling capacity in steel of 1/2-inch and 1-inch in wood, and has a torque capacity of 400 pounds per inch. It comes with built-in LED lights making it easier to see in tight areas. The two speeds on this drill are low and high and are triggered controlled. Low speed is only about 350 RPM while high speed reaches a maximum of 1400 RPM.
√CONS: As any proper cordless drill review should do, this one will also look at the downside of this drill. Some have found that the Milwaukee 2601-22 18-Volt Li-ion Compact Drill Kit didn’t offer enough power to do small jobs around the house. Some have also found that the batteries don’t stay fully charged for more than a couple of hours. The biggest problem is not with the drill but the Li-ion batteries as they have been known to explode if the product in use is dropped.
Though there are hundreds of cordless drills on the market, consumers should always check out a cordless drill review or two before making any decisions or purchases. Find out what other consumers are saying about the product and whether or not they would recommend someone else buying that product. |
Milwaukee 2602-22 M18 18-Volt Cordless 1/2-Inch Hammer Drill/Driver purchased sept 2011. It stopped working immediately (trigger) – returned for replacement. Broke again feb 2012 (same problem trigger).
Has been 5 weeks in shop and I was told could be a minimum 2 months. I should bought a Makita.
